“On Location” with Biamp at ISE 2023

Abdul Chaudhri was able to give us a fantastic tour of the Biamp booth on Thursday afternoon. They had exciting offerings including their Crowd Mics audience engagement tool. The app downloaded to their phones can allow the student to use their phone as a microphone; it also supports texting and polling capabilities. They were showing their new IC6 low-profile ceiling speaker which is only 4” deep – allowing for installation in tight ceiling spaces as well as a new square speaker that is a ceiling tile replacement form factor. They mentioned that they also offer professional design services for their speaker lines – a technology manager can fill out a form and connect with their technical staff who will complete a design to meet the needs of the space. They also debuted new 2 and 4 channel analog amplifiers in a ½ rack width form factor. There was so much more including control offerings, a partnership with Lenovo for PCs that can serve as a software-based conferencing endpoint, and AV conferencing bars. It was a fast and furious tour that covered so many fantastic products and features!
