For many colleges and universities, supporting consistent learning experiences across multiple campuses is a growing challenge. Fundación Universitaria del Área Andina in Colombia tackled that challenge through its RAUDA initiative, a project focused on centralizing and standardizing AV operations across campuses in Bogotá, Pereira, and Valledupar. Working with Kramer technologies as the foundation of its new AV strategy, the university implemented a unified AV-over-IP architecture and centralized management platform that provided greater visibility into its AV ecosystem while creating a scalable framework for future growth.
Working alongside integrator Merge, the institution deployed a Kramer-powered solution connecting classrooms, auditoriums, meeting spaces, and digital signage endpoints into a single network. Leveraging Kramer encoders, decoders, wireless collaboration tools, and cloud-based management solutions, the project emphasized centralized monitoring and control, allowing support teams to diagnose issues more quickly, reduce the need for on-site intervention, and deliver a more reliable experience for faculty and students. The university also gained the ability to manage digital signage content across campuses in real time, improving communication with students and visitors.
For the higher ed AV community, the project is a strong example of a trend we’re seeing across the globe: institutions moving toward centralized, cloud-managed AV environments that improve operational efficiency while supporting hybrid learning and long-term digital transformation goals. By combining AV-over-IP distribution with centralized management, Kramer helped provide the technological foundation for a more consistent and supportable AV experience across a multi-campus institution.
