Take a Break and Know Your Bandwidth

Hey all! I am writing this while I am on my vacation so it will be short but I think it is very important. My first piece of advice is to take a vacation and I mean actually take a vacation where you don’t do work. Delete your email from your phone and mute your slack so that you aren’t even aware of what is going on. What does this have to do with CX? It is easiest to make customers happy when you are happy and vacations generally give you that boost of energy when you return.

Second, reevaluate what you have the bandwidth to take on. In the busy seasons of our lives, it can be easy to take on more and more tasks without thinking about it but I would challenge everybody to ensure you have the capability to take those tasks on before saying yes.
