Thursday at ISE 2025 was filled with impactful events and sessions led by HETMA members and key partners. Joe Way shared his expertise during the Control Room Summit, where he discussed emergency operations during the Palisades Fire at UCLA, offering valuable insights into crisis management in AV environments. Joe also participated in engaging sessions at AVIXA Xchange Live, contributing to thought-provoking discussions on AV technology and its evolving role. Meanwhile, Jen Weaver hosted a session focused on personal branding and how professionals can stay relevant in today’s fast-paced industry, providing actionable strategies for building a strong professional presence. These events highlighted the collaborative spirit and thought leadership of HETMA members at ISE 2025.
HETMA Presence at ISE
Yesterday at the HETMA booth was an exciting and bustling day of events! We had the pleasure of recording insightful discussions with several industry leaders, including PSNI, X20 Media, Epiphan Video, Peerless AV, Nureva, Panopto, TVOne, and The EdTech Podcast. Each conversation brought valuable perspectives and updates from the AV and EdTech spaces. In addition to the podcasts, we hosted a Happy Hour from 2-4, which started with a bit of a hiccup due to a mix-up with the catering order. Thankfully, with some quick thinking, support from nearby beverage vendors, and a private stock of whiskey generously provided by Troy Powers and Epiphan Video, we were able to turn things around and deliver a memorable experience for our guests. It was a great day of collaboration, learning, and camaraderie at the booth!

Looking Ahead: Day 4 at ISE
Today at ISE 2025 promises to be an exciting and engaging day for HETMA and its members. At the HETMA booth, several recordings are taking place, including discussions with Screenbeam, Audinate, Symetrix XTEN-AV, and the Best of ISE session, where key highlights and innovations from the show will be explored. Additionally, Joe Way will be recording a special episode of his Higher Ed AV podcast, featuring members of his team who are attending the ISE conference this year, sharing their insights and experiences. Outside of the booth, there are several noteworthy sessions, including Erin Maher-Moran and Joe Way making guest appearances on the AV Week Podcast, where they will discuss the latest trends in AV. At 1:00 PM, there will be a crucial discussion on Representation in Video Technology at the AVIXA Xchange Live stage, focusing on diversity and inclusion in the AV and video tech industries. Today’s events are set to foster collaboration, exchange ideas, and provide valuable insights across the AV community.
